My eight year old son has just started getting into Star Wars in a big way - It brings a tear to my eye (not just because of what Mr Lucas did to the franchise in the following 3 episodes), to think that he is as enraptured by the world of Jedi Knights and the Evil Empire as I was when I was his age. Sigh the memories…. Anyway, you can relive them all for yourself if you haven’t already invested in the Original Trilogy box set, courtesy of Play.com selling each episode separately for only £3.99 apiece - a bargain, even if you just get them for your own kids when they are old enough to watch.

Ok, I mentioned yesterday that the site was in the process of migrating to a new server. That process is largely complete now, although there are still one or two teething problems - most notable being the contact page is broken. I’ll try an get that fixed over the weekend. If you were trying to access the site this morning then you might have noticed some odd things happening - thanks for bearing with us. The new server should prove to be faster and more reliable than the previous one, plus it means I can now add some more stores to storewatch and update it on a daily basis as was always the intention.

Well now that there is only one way forward in terms of which High Definition Movie format to buy (that would be Blu-Ray) since Toshiba pulled the plug on HD-DVD last month, we’ve all been waiting with baited breath for the first decent Blu-Ray sale (well I have anyway), and finally it looks like Good old Blah have Delivered. Not released until the 10th of March but this is the best pre-order price I can see for this title - and a 2 disc special edition to boot. Originally planned to be part of a double header in theatres with Quentin Tarantino’s Deathproof, Planet Terror pays homage to exploitation cinema with Married Doctor’s William and Dakota Block (Josh Brolin and Marley Shelton) pitched against local townsfolk turned Zombies after an experimental bio-weapon is released with the proper testing. Tut. Naturally everyone exposed to the gas is turned into a flesh eating zombie. A motley group of survivors is left to fight it out with the ‘Sickos’ as they are called including, stripper Cherry, her dodgy, ex-boyfriend Wray and the local sheriff. Who together must survive the night and take down the Zombies before they take over the whole town and then the world.
