HMV present an exclusive Steelbook edition of Bruce’s latest outing as John Mcclane, this time battling cyber-terrorism on the streets of Washington DC. Now I know technically this isnt the cheapest edition of this movie available, you can pick up the regular 2 Disc edition from Zavvi for a pound cheaper at £7.99, or even the plain old vanilla Single disc edition for £5.00 at Play, but the Steelbook for £8.99 probably represents the best value for money in terms of collectability, so if you havent added this to you collection yet then what are you waiting for, jump to it man (or woman)!

If, like me you’ve been a Terry Pratchett fan since the 1980’s (showing my age now) you’ll have no doubt already watched this on Sky, but its been a while since it was aired last and what with the recent Easter showing of the Colour of Magic, your appetite may be whetted for more and, as if by magic, up pops Blah DVD with the bargain of today. Follow the adventures of Dean and Sam as they take to battling demons and spooks in a bid to find their father and discover what happened to their mother many years ago, when they were little ‘uns. Despite the myriad of gruesome and spooky otherworldly creatures they encounter, including vampires, ghosts and witches, theres a distinctly comic book feel to this series, making it more Buffy the Vampire Slayer than the X-files. Entertaining rather than scary, and if you believe the ads on ITV2 - quite sexy as well. Don’t see it myself. But the box looks quite nice.

While the recent BBC dramatisation, The Tudors, was met with dismay by the historical purists for its apparent willingness to massage the facts for the purposes of entertainment, there can be little denying that if you watched the series when it aired that it was pretty entertaining - even if it has been compared more favourably with ‘Footballers Wives’ than with any true historical content. Regardless you can now pick the 3 disc season 1 set from HMV for only £12.99, at least £5 cheaper than anywhere else at the moment.

Have you ever listened to the James Bond Theme while driving your car? I was driving to work one day last week and for some reason Chris Moyles was playing on Radio 1. Very dangerous. I immediately felt like the coolest guy on the road and noticed the speedo creeping up above my normal driving speed (of course I always stick to the speed limit..). I swear I was not far away from pulling a handbrake turn into the carpark, but thankfully I came to my senses just in time. This morning I am pleased to announce the launch www.ps3lite.co.uk - a sister site to DVD Bargain Alerts. I originally registered this domain in February on the Back of T3’s announcement that Sony could well be going to announce the launch of a slinky new Lite Version of the PS3. At the moment though this looks about as likely as an MP paying his own TV License (although thats not to say there wont be one released further down the line), so I decided to develop the domain along the same lines as DBA, adding price comparison and I’ll be keeping abreast of the latest PS3 Bargains and Sales too.
