Released on September 1, the complete fourth Series of popular BBC Comedy Drama New Tricks comes to DVD. Lets face it if you’ve never watched the show then you probably think ‘Old Dogs’ would be a more appropriate title for this Series which revolves around a bunch of wrinkly crime fighters, all retired coppers, solving crimes in between dealing with the traumas that life throws at them. However, the great British cast of James Bolam, Alun Armstrong, Amanda Redman and Dennis Waterman bring a tremendous amount of talent to the screen that lifts the show above the mundane and is certainly worth your time. Hetty Wainthrop it aint.
Speaking as Someone who already owns both an XBOX 360 and a Playstation 3 I find the war between fanboys to be irritating and divisive. Both consoles have their pluses and both have their minuses, but in both cases the minuses a relatively trivial if all you want is a decent video games console. The 80gb upgrade makes sense for Sony as it coincides nicely with the launch of PlayTV which is Sony attempt to turn the PS3 into a PVR, inctruducing features such as:

I know, I know, these will probably be on TV at Christmas anyway, but you’ve got to admit these 2 Festive animations are a firm favourite with many of you - and for a ridiculous price of £5.00 for both of these classics in 1 package you cant really go wrong. On a side note I saw the Irn Bru take on the Snowman for the first time today, and it tickled me so much I thought I add it to this post.
