Halo film axed |

| Looks like the movie studios have gotten cold feet over the inexperience of the director for the upcoming Halo movie. Understandable really when the budget was upwards of $200 million and the guy's never directed a film before! Article here |

| Have since read that Microsoft may go ahead with the project and fund it themselves (with some spare change from Bill Gates pockets and the back of his sofa). Will try and find that article and post it up. Don't know whether they're going to stick with the same director though. Peter Jackson is involved in it somewhere (I think as executive producer), if he stepped to the helm then I'm sure it'd make money! |

IMDB has an update on 20th Oct which has the movie listed as in production, with a 2008 release date.
Fingers crossed they'll go ahead with it. |

| Reads as if it'll still go ahead, but when is the big question. It's got real potential and with the involvement of someone like Peter Jackson it can only strengthen its credibility. |
